ABOUT THE EVENT
After the city hosted the British Triathlon Super Series Grand Final in 2022, the Super Series returns to Sunderland in 2023 but this time as part of the World Triathlon Championship Series weekend.
The World Triathlon Championship Series is being hosted in Sunderland for the first time in 2023 and racing in the Super Series will be part of the event’s busy schedule showcasing the very best of swim, bike, run.
The Sunderland seafront will again provide a scenic backdrop as the racing centres around Roker Beach for Youth & Junior and Senior athletes.
Race Distances
| Youth A & Youth B | Super Sprint | Swim: 400m, Bike: 10km, Run: 2.5km |
| Junior & Senior | 3/4 Standard Distance | Swim: 1125m, Bike: 30km, Run: 7.5km |
More event information will be shared closer to the event including route maps and athlete guides. Race applications for this event will open on the 8th of February 2023.
