The British Triathlon Super Series headed to Scotland for the first aquathlon race of the season with Youth and Junior athletes racing for vital ranking points.
Triathletes competed across three races, with the swim getting shorter and the run getting longer each race.
Female Youth A
Zara Jones picked up the win in race one of the Female Youth A category. She came out of the water in third before running her way to the win. Betsey North was second and the only other triathlete to finish under 16 minutes. Katy Otterson was third.
Race two saw Jones pick up another win, this time by just four seconds, as again she pipped North to the win. Behind the pair, Issy Waugh put in the fastest run time of the race to take third place.
The third and final race in the Female Youth A category came down to a sprint finish as North took the win by just one second ahead of Waugh, who improved on her position from race two. Jones finished third to ensure she was on the podium for all three races.

Open Youth A
The first Open Youth A race was won by Jacob Brown who was quickest on the 800m swim to set himself up to take the win. William Bailey was next over the line with Tristan Robin out sprinting Euan Murphy for the final spot on the podium.
Robin put in the second fastest 1.5km run time in race two to take the win, by less than a second as he out-sprinted Brown to the line. The top three were separated by just four seconds with Eliot Delecroix coming third.
The third Open Youth A race also came down to a sprint finish as again Robin out-sprinted Brown for the win. A further nine seconds back Delecroix ensured it was the same podium as race two as he beat William Birchall across the line by just half a second.

Patience Lamb started the day on the front foot picking up the win in race one of the Female Youth B category, as she was fastest across both the swim and run legs. Darcey Murphy was second as the only other triathlete to cross the line in under 16 minutes. The top-three was completed by Seaena Silvester.
The top-two remained the same, but this time Lamb came out of the water second and had to over-take Murphy on the 2km run, as the duo both completed the race in under 15 minutes. Behind them Amelie Smethurst completed the podium.
Lamb completed the clean sweep in race three. She exited the water in second just behind Murphy but led out of T2 and finished 21 seconds clear, as the pair were the top-two again. Smethhurst again joined them on the podium as she took third place.

Open Youth B
Alex Boyer came from third place on the 800m swim to claim victory in the Open Youth A opening race, thanks to the fastest run time of the race. Behind him George Turner, who was the race leader on the swim, came second with Harry Gilligan finishing third.
The race one winner, Boyer, needed a sprint finish to claim his second win of the day as he beat Maximus Murray across the line by just two seconds. The podium places in race two were completed by William Pridden.
Boyer made it three wins from as many races in the final round of the day. He exited the water in second place and never looked back as he put in the second fastest run time of the race to take first place by nine seconds. Behind him Arthur Ballard’s second place was owed to his run speed that saw him complete the 3km course 12 seconds quicker than the rest of the category. Third place was again taken by Pridden.

Female Junior
Isla Hedley was the quickest across the 1km run in the first Female Junior race, taking first place. Millie Breese was next over the line while the top three was completed by Jessica Heeps.
Race two saw an identical podium to race one. Hedley was quickest across both the 500m swim and 2km run to take her second win of the day. Breese joined Hedley in finishing the race under 15 minutes as she took second place. The battle for third place came down to less than half a second as Heeps narrowly beat Helena Coy for the final spot on the podium.
The finish order remained the same again for the top three in the third and final race of the day. Hedley took the lead on the swim and remained in front throughout as she put in fastest swim and run times to complete a hattrick of wins. Breese again took second place with Heeps finish third.

Open Junior
Rory Bryant took the win in the opening Open Junior race thanks to a strong swim that saw him exit the water in second. Behind him Ben Hill was the next over the line after swapping places with Bryant in transition. Daniel Van Aardt, who was 30 seconds off the lead after the swim, was quickest on the run to cross the line third finishing just 14 seconds behind Bryant.
Race two saw both Bryant and Van Aardt make the podium again, however this time they were split by Brandon Pye. Bryant was quickest across both the swim and run to take the win by 11 seconds. Van Aardt again put in a strong run, closing the gap to Pye by six seconds across the 2km course but had to settle for third, with Pye’s gap from the swim enough for him to stay second.
The trio crossed the line in the same order in the third race of the day. Bryant and Pye exited the water first and second respectively and the pair remained neck and neck across the run with Bryant taking the win by just two seconds. Van Aardt was again quickest on the run to close the gap to the top two and crossed the line a further five seconds back in third.
