All you need to know about the 2026 Senior Super Series

Introduction

The British Triathlon Senior Super Series provides high-level competitive racing opportunities for Senior and U23 athletes within the British Triathlon pathway.

Athletes will compete at races throughout the year to earn points, with the overall winners crowned at the end of the series.

Although in a separate series, junior and youth B athletes will at times race within the same races as senior athletes. Quotas on start numbers will therefore be applied for each category in a senior race. For further information, including quota numbers, please see the Super Series Explained document.

Performance Assessment Weekend

Please note, some senior athletes will have to attend the Performance Assessment Weekend. Participants will take part in a swim time-trial and separate run-bike timed event, with the results determining the order of entry for athletes who do not have a World Triathlon ranking in the top 300 or top 10 Senior Super Series result from the 2025 British Triathlon Super Series.

Senior and International Athlete Entries

Senior Entries & Eligibility: All athletes wishing to take part in the Senior Super Series must submit an application for the relevant events. Starts are awarded based on World Triathlon rankings, 2025 Super Series rankings, and results from the 2026 British Triathlon Performance Assessments.
If you have raced previously at Youth, Junior, or Senior level in the British Super Series, you are automatically eligible to compete at the Performance Assessments.
If you have not raced in the British Super Series before, you must contact superseries@britishtriathlon.org and provide evidence that you have experience in draft-legal triathlon and/or bunch racing/riding in cycling to demonstrate you are at the right level to compete.

International Athletes & Invites: International athletes are invited to take part in the events. For each race, up to five invite places are available, which the selection panel can award to athletes who add value to the event, such as high-level competitors from another country. International athletes wishing to apply for a start should email superseries@britishtriathlon.org.

Eligibility

To be eligible, participants must be a current British Triathlon Home Nation member. You may be asked to prove your membership when entering and registering at the individual races on the series at the request of the event organiser.
