Entries are now open for athletes needing to attend one of the pre-Performance Assessment Bike Intelligent Race Days ahead of the 2022 British Triathlon Super Series.
All Youth and Junior athletes and some Senior athletes hoping to compete in the 2022 Super Series will need to sign-up for a Bike IRD prior to the Performance Assessment weekend. Paratriathletes do NOT have to attend the Bike IRD’s or Performance Assessment weekend.
Being held in March at venues across the UK, athletes only need to attend one of the Bike IRDs, but they must sign-up before the deadline on Friday 18 February 2022 to book their place. There are limited spaces available for these events and tickets will be given on a first-come-first-served basis:
Scotland – Fife Cycle Park, Lochgelly – 6 March – Book here
North Wales – Marsh Tracks, Rhyl – 12 March – Book here
South Wales – Maindy Centre, Cardiff – 13 March – Book here
North England – Brownlee Centre, Leeds – 13 March – Book here
Midlands – Leicester Cycle Circuit – 6 March – Book here
South England – Lee Valley VeloPark – 6 March – Book here
The Bike Intelligent Race Day is a day focused on cycling and racing skills, providing athletes already racing at this level the opportunity to dial back into, and further develop, the decision-making skills and technicalities of draft legal riding.
For new athletes to the series, the Bike IRDs are a chance to demonstrate their skills are appropriate for national level competition.
Athletes who demonstrate their skills are appropriate for national level competition will then be invited to attend the Performance Assessment Weekend at University of Nottingham / Prestwold Hall Circuit on 2 and 3 April.
