All the results from Lochore Meadows and Dambuster

26/06/2026

It was a busy weekend of action in the Super Series, with Youth and Junior athletes competing in Scotland, while the paratriathletes were in action at Rutland Water in the East Midlands.

Youth and Junior

Lochore Meadows on the banks of Loch Ore was the venue for the British Elite Aquathlon Championships and round three of the Youth and Junior Super Series for 2026. With only two rounds to go of the season, all important points were up for grabs in the race to be crowned Super Series champion for 2026. Athletes competed in three races of varying distances on the day, with results from all three events combined to create the overall standings.

It was also the first race in the new team competition, with regions battling to take the inaugural crown come season end.

Youth A category

Athletes in this category competed over the following distances:

  • 800m swim followed by a 1km swim
  • 500m swim followed by a 1.5km run
  • 300m swim followed by a 2km run

A win and two second places was enough to take the overall win in the female category for Ellie Birchall from the South West, finishing ahead of Ava Smith from Scotland who took the win in the first race of the day. Emilia Waugh finished the day strongly with a win in the final race of the day to move herself onto the podium and into third position.

A full house of first, second and third places was enough for Tymek Chmielowski from Scotland to claim first position ahead of Tom Board from the South West who had consistent top three finishes in all three races. There was a tie for third place so the final podium place was shared by William Hughes from the Midlands and Ross Allan from Scotland whose win in the last race propelled him into joint third place.

Youth B category

Athletes in this category competed over the following distances:

  • 800m swim followed by a 1km swim
  • 500m swim followed by a 2km run
  • 300m swim followed by a 3km run

In the Youth B category, it was Oonagh McManus representing the North West region who took the win. Strong finishes in all three races left her clear of Ella Stewart from the Midlands in second who finished just ahead of Emily Hyder who was representing the North West alongside Oonaagh.

In the open category Jamie Lonergan from the North East took him the win, finishing ahead of Ben Allen in second place who was representing the Midlands. Rounding out the podium was Marley Griffiths in third place, who was racing for the North West team.

Junior category

Athletes in this category competed over the same distances as the Youth B category.

It was incredibly tight at the top of the Junior Female category, but Holly Humphreys from Wales was on the top step of the podium, her two wins and a second place just pipping Darcey Murphy from the North West into second place overall. Isabel Moore had a consistent day to end up finishing in third place overall while representing the Midlands.

In the open category, Oscar Chirnside from Scotland took the overall win with two first place finishes and a third in the three races. It was a Scottish one-two as Tristan Robin took second place overall, while consistent racing meant Jamie Lonergan from the North East finished in third place overall.

With three races out of five completed, you can see the overall standings for each category here. With extra points on offer at the Grand Final, it’s very much all to play for before the end of the season.

Paratri

The Dambuster at Rutland Water the venue for the third round of the Paratri Super Series for this year. Wheelchair athletes competed in an aquabike event while all other categories competed in a sprint paratriathlon.

Josh Pullen took home the win in the Open PTS3 category, ahead of close rival Ethan Dent. This is the third time they have gone head to head in the Super Series this season and with one win apiece going into this race, it’s Josh who now leads the overall standings.

In the Open PTVI category for visually impaired athletes, in his first race of the Super Series season, Jake Bailey took the win ahead of Harry Hughes who picked up his third second place finish of the season.

Josh Garrett was the only competitor in the Open PTS4 category and the win extends his lead at the top of the overall standings in his category. Likewise Danny Simpson was the only athlete in the PTS5 category and the win takes him to the top of the rankings ahead of Oliver Scott who is racing in Montreal on 27 June.
