Entry process to British Triathlon Super Series events now open

01/02/2023

Entries for the British Paraduathlon Championships and British Triathlon Super Series Performance Assessments are now open as well as race applications for Youth, Junior and Senior athletes for all Super Series events taking place in 2023.

Entries to Performance Assessments now open

All Youth & Juniors wanting to race in the Super Series, and some Senior athletes, will need to attend the Performance Assessment Weekend. As in previous years, this will include a swim time-trial on the Saturday (1 April) followed by a combined, timed bike-run on the Sunday (2 April) at Prestwold Hall Circuit.

This event will see the first Super Series points earned by Youth & Junior athletes and will be used to determine the order of entry for future events including for senior athletes wanting to compete for starts in Tier 1 races.

Youth & Junior athletes (born in or between 2004 and 2008) who have not competed at the Performance Assessments before and are not a member of a Regional Academy will need to attend an Academy-led bike session within their region to test their bike skills ahead of the Performance Assessments.

Youth & Junior athletes who need to attend a bike session can contact their relevant Regional Academy Lead here.

Entries to British Paraduathlon Championships now open

Entries are now also open for the British Paraduathlon Championships – the first event in this year’s British Triathlon Paratri Super Series – which will be held at Prestwold Hall Circuit on Sunday 2 April.

The British Paraduathlon Championships will see athletes compete for British titles in paraduathlon and will be raced over a 2.5km run, 10km bike and 1.25km run.

As in 2022, non-classified paratriathletes can race in the Paratri Super Series events in 2023, including at the British Paraduathlon Championships, but they will not be eligible for Super Series points or be able to claim British titles.

Race applications for Youth, Junior and Senior athletes

Alongside entries opening for the Performance Assessments and British Paraduathlon Championships, race applications are now open for all Youth & Junior and Senior Super Series events taking place in 2023.

The application process allows athletes to apply for a race start, however whether a race start is granted or not will be confirmed closer to each event and will be determined by the relevant selection policy.

Closing dates for race applications for each event will be confirmed in due course.
